b) PFPS is not liable for claims except those arising from gross negligence. Any concerns must be reported within 24 hours of the Client collecting their pet.

c) While PFPS takes reasonable precautions to ensure pet safety, it is not responsible for pets that bite, escape, or suffer accidental injuries or death unless gross negligence by PFPS is proven.

d) PFPS is not responsible for injuries, damages, or legal consequences resulting from a pet in its care biting another animal, whether provoked or not. e) The Client guarantees all pets have up-to-date vaccinations, flea treatments, and necessary medications.

f) PFPS does not accept pets with acute or uncontrolled medical conditions or aggressive animals. Any incidents involving bites or aggression are the Client's responsibility, including medical and legal costs.

g) PFPS does not provide veterinary diagnoses or treatments. Any concerns identified will be referred to a qualified veterinarian.

h) By signing this document, you agree to allow PFPS to take your pet off their premises for outdoor visits to the beach, parks, or similar and other locations. You acknowledge that PFPS will not be liable for any harm, accidents, or incidents that may happen to the pet during these outings unless gross negligence by PFPS is proven.

2. Property Damage

d) Cancellations During Peak Holiday Periods: Cancellations during peak periods, including Easter, Christmas, and school holidays, will result in the deposit being non-refundable, regardless of the notice period given. These times are in high demand and impact our ability to rebook the space.

i) Job conditions differ significantly from the original consultation.

ii) The safety of PFPS staff, pets, or property is compromised.

iii) The Client fails to adhere to the terms and conditions outlined in this agreement.

5. Emergencies

7. Vaccinations, Flea, and Tick Prevention

a) Dogs must have current vaccinations, including a C5 certificate, which must be provided in writing before service begins.

b) All pets must be on a flea and tick prevention program throughout the service period.

8. Desexing and Liability

a) PFPS requires all dogs staying with us to be desexed (spayed or neutered). This policy helps prevent unwanted behaviours such as marking, mounting, and aggression, and reduces the

risk of unwanted pregnancies. In special circumstances, PFPS may accept an undesexed dog at our discretion. Approval will be considered on a case-by-case basis, taking into account the dog's behaviour, age, and the other dogs booked to stay at the same time. PFPS reserves the right to refuse or cancel a booking if an undesexed dog is deemed unsuitable for the safety and well-being of all dogs in our care.

b) Additionally, PFPS is not liable for any injuries or incidents involving your dog, including but not limited to those arising from interactions with other pets, unless it can be proven that

such injury was the result of gross negligence on our part. By using our services, you acknowledge and accept these terms.

9. Social Media Clause

a) PFPS may take photos or videos of pets during the service period for use on its social media platforms, website, and promotional materials. These images and videos are the property of PFPS and may be used for marketing purposes without additional consent or compensation.

b) If the Client does not wish for their pets to be photographed or filmed, they must notify PFPS in writing before the start of the service period.

10. Animal Welfare Policy

a) If PFPS determines that any dog in its care is neglected, underweight, or mistreated, PFPS has the right to take appropriate action, which may include: i) Reporting the situation to

relevant authorities.

ii) Seeking veterinary assistance.

iii) Providing necessary care to ensure the pet's well-being.

b) If a dog is not collected by the agreed-upon time, PFPS has the right to take action, including:

i) Taking the dog to the local pound.

ii) Seeking veterinary assistance.

iii) Relocating the dog to another suitable facility as deemed necessary.

11. Leads, Walking Equipment, and Collars

a) Price Family Pet Sitting (“PFPS”) places the highest priority on the safety and well-being of all pets in our care.

b) To help ensure safe and comfortable outings:

i) Harness Requirement: All dogs must be provided with a secure, well-fitted harness for walks. PFPS does not walk dogs using collar-only attachments, as these can pose safety and health risks.

ii) Leads and Walking Equipment: PFPS may use its own leads when walking your dog, particularly when walking multiple dogs at once. We use specially designed dual and quad leashes to ensure safety, control, and comfort. If you prefer that we use your own lead, please inform us in advance.

iii) Temporary PFPS Identification Collar: As a precaution, all dogs in our care will wear a temporary PFPS collar with our contact number during walks or outings. While we take great care when entering and exiting your home, unexpected situations can arise. This measure helps ensure your dog can be quickly identified if they were ever to escape.

iiii) Owner’s Responsibility & Liability Waiver: If you choose not to supply a suitable harness and instead give written or verbal permission for PFPS to walk your dog using a collar attachment, you acknowledge and accept all associated risks. In such cases, PFPS shall not be held responsible or liable for any injury, mishap, or incident that may occur as a result of using a collar, including but not limited to escape, strain, or injury to your dog.

12. Pet Cleanliness Policy

a) Dog Grooming: If a dog is dirty from an outing or not washed prior to drop-off and is staying for an extended period, PFPS has the right to ask or permit a dog wash at the expense of the owner to maintain cleanliness in PFPS’s home. The client will be contacted prior to the wash with the fee.

b) Hygiene and Coat Maintenance: If a dog experiences continuous diarrhoea for any reason, PFPS cannot continue to provide pet sitting due to hygiene concerns. In such cases, the client must arrange for the dog to be collected immediately. PFPS may tidy or shave around the bottom area to maintain hygiene and prevent faeces from sticking to their coat. This will be done in the best interest of the dog’s comfort and cleanliness.

c) Indoor Toileting Behaviour: If a dog consistently urinates inside during their stay, unfortunately, we will be unable to accommodate them in the future. This presents a hygiene concern for our home and the other dogs in our care, as it can encourage similar behaviour.

d) Cleaning Fee: A cleaning fee of $20 per day will apply for dogs who continue to urinate indoors during their stay. This will be invoiced at the end of their stay and payment is required before collecting your pet.

e) Shedding, Breed Conditions and Grooming Notification: If you are aware that your dog sheds excessively or may experience increased shedding (for example, Border Collies or German Shepherds), you must notify PFPS prior to their stay. Likewise, if your dog’s breed is known to have specific conditions such as respiratory issues (for example, French Bulldogs), or any other breed-related conditions that may affect their comfort, care, or hygiene, you must also advise PFPS before drop-off. Failure to disclose this information may result in additional cleaning, grooming, or care charges.

13. Early Collection and Refunds

a) If a dog is collected early due to diarrhoea, confrontation with other dogs, or any other behavioural, medical, or safety-related matter, no refund will be provided for the remainder of the stay.

14. Dog Treats and Dietary Considerations

a) Price Family Pet Sitting (“PFPS”) may offer dogs small, commercially available treats as part of positive reinforcement and enrichment during visits or walks. While we take reasonable care to use reputable products, PFPS cannot guarantee that these treats are free from ingredients that may cause allergic reactions or other adverse effects. By engaging our services, you acknowledge and accept that PFPS shall not be held liable for any allergic reaction, digestive upset, or other health issues that may result from the offering of treats. If you prefer that PFPS not offer your dog any treats, please inform us in writing before the start of services.

15. Short Absences Clause:

a) PFPS may leave dogs at home for short periods due to emergencies, school pick-up/drop-off, or high errand demands. During these times, dogs will be left inside, in a safe and secure environment with access to water and comfort. If an extended absence is necessary, the owner will be informed.

16. Right to Amend Terms

a) PFPS reserves the right to amend the terms and conditions of this agreement at any time without prior notice. The latest version of the agreement will be made available on request and will apply to all future services provided by PFPS.
